The project

Norwich to Tilbury is a proposal to build a new 400 kilovolt (kV) electricity transmission connection for approximately 180 kilometres from the Norwich Main substation via Bramford substation, a new East Anglia Connection Node (EACN) Substation and a new Tilbury North Substation.

The work

We provided specialist bat ecology services for tracking Barbastelle bats captured in key woodlands along the project alignment. We carried out night tracking and roost emergence surveys for bats to identify key roosting habitat and to collect data on landscape scale habitat use within the wider area.
