WMNZ Landfill is a proposed landfill site near Warkworth, Auckland, NZ. As part of resource consents, bat monitoring through capture-mark-recapture is being carried out to collect population data on long tailed bats using the proposed landfill site.

Acting as the Bat Delivery Lead, we provide oversight and on-the-ground supervision of capture and tagging of free flying bats and capture and processing of bats at roost locations to collect population data. We also provide advice and oversee training to staff from a range of different companies involved on the project.
This project is ongoing and is in its third season of up to five seasons.
