The Vale Bristol is a new housing development located near Long Ashton in South Bristol, UK. The project is the site of a significant artificial roost of lesser horseshoe bats.
We provided specialist bat ecology services for tracking Lesser horseshoe bats captured at the artificial roost and other woodland bats captured in key woodlands within the project footprint. We carried out night tracking and roost emergence surveys for bats to identify key roosting habitat and to collect data on landscape scale habitat use and crossing points within the wider area.
